Your beta map
Save this page. It tells you where to go when you need something fast.
You do not need to learn how to prompt PrincipalGO.
Start with what needs to happen. One natural sentence is usually enough, and GO can ask for missing information when necessary.
Remind me Friday at 2:00 to send the staff newsletter.
Ask Jordan to send me the updated dismissal roster by Thursday.
Find 30 minutes with Alex next week.
Show me emails that need my response.
Create a staff meeting agenda for Thursday.
It is here to give you examples when you need them, not to become another system you have to manage.
A note from Gina
PrincipalGO started with one principal, one very full day, and one question.
First, thank you. I know how full your days already are, and I’m incredibly grateful that you’re willing to give some of your time and attention to something I’ve been building from scratch.
The question that started it
PrincipalGO began while I was trying to help my husband solve the everyday problems that come with being a principal. I kept watching things hit him all day long: a campus issue, a staff follow-up, a meeting to schedule, something for an agenda. Then another interruption arrived before he ever got back to his office.
My perspective comes from more than a decade working professionally in education, first at the district level as a Chief Communications Officer and later leading communications and engagement for a national education nonprofit, plus more than 27 years married to a lifelong educator.
There are countless tools built for teachers and students, as there should be. But I’ve also watched site administrators get lost somewhere in everyone else’s priorities while carrying an enormous amount every day.
I wanted to see whether I could build something that might take even a little of the remembering, follow-through and mental load off your plate.
Why beta users matter
You may use PrincipalGO completely differently than I imagined. Something I thought was useful may not matter to you at all. You may immediately see three things it needs that I never considered.
If this works, PrincipalGO could eventually be the beginning of a broader GO family, possibilities like ExecGO, CoachGO, StudentGO and MomGO. But it all starts here.

Your first 5 minutes
You do not need to memorize onboarding. Just get connected and start using GO.
- Open principal-go.com and click Try GO if you want a 60-second refresher on the workflow before signing in.
- Open your PrincipalGO Beta invitation. If you do not see it, check Spam/Junk.
- Accept the invitation, create your account, verify your email and sign in.
- Complete the short onboarding experience. PrincipalGO will bring you directly into your Command Center.
- Connect your work account: Google Workspace OR Microsoft 365. Only one work environment is active at a time. GO uses its Gmail or Outlook mailbox for delegation, its Google or Outlook Calendar for scheduling, and the file locations you approve for supported document work.
- Add a few people you regularly hand things off to as Trusted Contacts: your assistant principal, secretary, office staff, custodian, counselor, PTA president or others you work with often.
- Then stop “testing” and start using it during your real day.
Try a “Remind me” task in your Command Center even if you have not connected Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. Open Help & Tutorials inside PrincipalGO any time you need a refresher.
Know what you’re looking at
PrincipalGO is built around one simple idea: capture once, then know who owns the next move.
These are the four active lanes under the simple Command Center heading. The lane headers have no permanent subtitles; this guide explains what each one does. Email Sweep sits last as an intake and review surface.
My Day is a quick view, not a replacement for Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar. Event Details may include a video call or meeting link, attendees, location and notes when available. Open full calendar event → takes you back to the authoritative event. There is no week view, month view, date picker or drag-and-drop calendar management here.
Near the Command Center heading, a compact expandable control such as “48 Done → Look at you GO! ›” opens completed-work history without taking a permanent lane. The five most recent current-week completions appear first; more fold under “Earlier this week,” and older work remains in Archive. Activity and Reopen remain available. The weekly phrase advances with the Done/archive cadence, never on refresh: “Look at you GO!”, “GOing, GOing, GOne.”, “GOod riddance.”, then “That’s how we GO!” At zero: “0 Done → No problem! Plenty of time left to get GOing.”
Email Sweep finds the signal. You decide what becomes work.
PrincipalGO is meant to be something you use in the moment. You should not have to stop, open three apps, remember where you put something or reconstruct the task later.
Make GO sound and look like your school
Brand Kit is your school’s approved source of truth inside PrincipalGO.
Instead of re-entering your school name, colors, logo, terminology and recurring language every time you need something created, Brand Kit gives GO one place to reference the identity and messaging you have already approved.
One Brand Kit follows you into supported Google Docs and Microsoft Word workflows. Live examples include editable staff meeting agendas, memos and formal letters.
What belongs in Brand Kit
- School and district name
- Principal name and title
- Website and contact information
- Mascot and school abbreviation
- Approved tagline
- Primary and alternate logos
- Primary, secondary and accent colors
- Approved typography
- Header and footer preferences
- Mission, vision and core values
- PBIS or school-culture language
- School description and approved boilerplate
- Other recurring source-of-truth language
- Brand guide
- Letterhead reference
- Optional signature graphic
- Reusable templates
- Other clean master/reference files
A good five-minute Brand Kit setup
- Start with your school profile. Add basic school and district information you know is current and approved. Do not guess just to complete every field. Leaving an unknown field blank is better than giving GO inaccurate information.
- Add your primary logo and official colors. Use clean, approved logo files whenever possible. Add alternate logo versions as alternate assets, and enter official colors rather than selecting colors that simply look close.
- Add accessible image descriptions. Describe what an image represents, not its file name. For example: Heritage Oak Elementary Husky logo. Mark an image decorative only when it adds no information and can safely be skipped by a screen reader. A school logo used to identify the school will usually need alt text.
- Set your typography. If you do not know your school’s approved font, use PrincipalGO Accessible Default. Reserve decorative or highly stylized school fonts for headings and keep longer body content highly readable.
- Add approved school language. Include the terminology GO should consistently recognize and reuse: tagline, mission, vision, core values, PBIS/culture language and approved boilerplate.
- Add useful reference files. Upload clean master files such as a brand guide, blank letterhead, approved staff-meeting template or reusable communication template. Do not upload completed documents containing student, employee, family or other private records just because the formatting is useful.
- Add a signature graphic if you want one. Upload it to Brand Kit, then separately enable Use my signature graphic on generated letters if you want it used on formal letters.
Brand Kit saves as you go. Field changes save automatically, and uploaded assets save when you upload them. You do not need to scroll to the bottom and click Save after every change. Save now is available if you want to save again for reassurance.
Signature graphic (optional)
Upload a transparent PNG if you have one. JPG also works. The file must be 1 MB or smaller. GO stores it with your Brand Kit.
Uploading does not sign anything. Turn on Use my signature graphic on generated letters to let GO place it on formal generated letters, above your typed full name and title. Review every letter as an editable draft before using or sharing it.
Accessibility: Because your typed name appears directly below the image, you can generally mark the signature as a Decorative image. Or use simple alt text such as Signature of Jordan Smith. Do not use the filename as alt text.
How GO brands a letter
If you have uploaded an approved PNG or JPG letterhead, GO can use it in a supported generated document. If no usable image letterhead is available, GO uses your Brand Kit to create a clean branded letter from the information you have saved:
- Primary logo, school and district names, and approved tagline
- Brand colors, heading and body fonts, and configured footer
- Principal name and title, plus signature graphic when enabled
No logo? GO can still make a professional text-based header using your Profile & School information and Brand Kit settings. A PDF letterhead can be saved as an approved reference, but GO uses the Brand Kit header for a generated document rather than inserting the PDF.
Branding fits the document
- Working documents, such as meeting agendas: A lighter branded header keeps them easy to work in.
- Formal letters: GO uses Letterhead mode with an approved image letterhead, or the branded school-header fallback. Your signature graphic can appear when you enable its setting.
When should I use Brand Kit?
- You want PrincipalGO to have one approved source for school identity.
- You regularly create school-branded communications or documents.
- Multiple people use slightly different versions of your school language.
- You want GO to know your approved mission, vision, culture or PBIS terminology.
- You want recurring document formats to remain consistent.
- Your school changes a logo, color, tagline, principal information or another brand element and you want one place to update the source of truth.
Brand Kit best practices
A good first Brand Kit
You do not need to build the perfect Brand Kit on day one. Start with the essentials, then add more as you actually need it.
- Primary school logo with meaningful alt text
- Primary, secondary and accent colors
- PrincipalGO Accessible Default for body text
- School tagline
- Mission or PBIS/culture language
- One clean staff-agenda template
Brand Kit changes do not retroactively change existing generated Google Docs or Microsoft Word documents. Brand Kit is PrincipalGO’s approved school-identity and messaging source for supported branded workflows.
PrincipalGO does not change district brand standards or create new branding rules. You remain in control of what is approved.
Search for Brand Kit in Help & Tutorials inside PrincipalGO for guidance while you build your school profile.
Use real language
Speak to GO the way you would speak to an assistant.
Remind me tomorrow to review the staff meeting agenda.GO does: Places the task in the appropriate My GO List timing bucket. You can try this before connecting a work account.
Ask Ember to confirm the conference room is ready tomorrow.GO does: Sends a routine handoff through your connected Gmail or Outlook work mailbox and tracks it in In Motion.
Schedule a 20-minute planning block tomorrow at 1:30.GO does: Checks availability and creates the event in your connected Google or Outlook Calendar. If the time conflicts, GO helps you choose another.
Meet with Sarah tomorrow at 2:00.GO does: Adds the meeting to your calendar only. Mentioning a person does not automatically invite them.
Invite Sarah to a meeting tomorrow at 2:00.GO does: Adds Sarah to the event in your active Google or Outlook Calendar because you explicitly asked GO to invite her.
Add PBIS update to the staff meeting agenda for Friday.GO does: Edits the supported Google Doc you chose for this work.
Sweep email.GO does: Looks for Gmail or Outlook conversations that may need action and shows them in the separate Email Sweep lane for your review.
In the current beta, “Remind me” places the task in the appropriate My GO List timing bucket in the Command Center. PrincipalGO does not currently send a browser/device push notification at that moment.
Dates in agenda and calendar requests: “Next Tuesday,” “this Tuesday” and “Tuesday’s agenda” mean the next upcoming Tuesday. If today is Thursday, September 24, 2026, “Create a staff meeting agenda for next Tuesday” means Tuesday, September 29. To specify a particular calendar week, say “Tuesday of next week” or give the exact date.
If GO interprets a natural command in a surprising way, that is beta feedback. Do not spend time learning “special software language.” Tell us what you said and what happened.
Take the Command Center with you
PrincipalGO is a web-based SaaS app. There is nothing to download from an app store during beta.
beta.principal-go.com
Sign in with the same PrincipalGO credentials you created during onboarding. Keep the tab open in Chrome or Safari, or bookmark it for quick access.
Beta habit: reload once each day
Because PrincipalGO is being improved frequently, start your day with one normal page reload. On mobile: tap Reload / pull to refresh, or close and reopen the browser tab. You do not need to clear your cache or perform a hard refresh.
- Use the same beta.principal-go.com address on desktop, tablet and phone.
- Voice and typed commands both work. Use whichever is fastest in the moment.
- If you keep PrincipalGO open all day, a normal reload is also a good first step if the screen suddenly looks different after an update.
- Do not fight with the browser. If something still looks wrong after a reload, report it.
Delegate without giving everyone an account
Trusted Contacts are people you regularly hand work to. They do not need PrincipalGO accounts.
Think about the people you rely on most often: assistant principal, secretary, office staff, custodian, counselor, PTA president, department lead or another trusted colleague.
With Gmail or Outlook delegation, the recipient can use the Done action in the handoff without a PrincipalGO account. GO moves the sent task into In Motion, then preserves the completed handoff and its activity in the expandable Done history when the recipient closes the loop.
One active work environment
Your PrincipalGO account and login are separate from your connected work environment. Connect Google Workspace OR Microsoft 365. GO uses the active work environment for supported handoffs, calendar work, Email Sweep and documents. Review the permissions when you connect; Outlook Email Sweep asks once for read-only Mail.Read access.
Switching disconnects the current work environment before connecting the new one. Your PrincipalGO tasks, Brand Kit, Trusted Contacts, profile information and task history stay in your account.
Files & documents in your active work environment
- Google Drive folders — Choose a folder once for ongoing GO work. PrincipalGO can work with supported files inside it and create new Google Docs there when you explicitly ask.
- Google Drive Docs & files — Choose a Google Doc or file when you want GO to work with one specific existing item without choosing its entire folder.
- Choose or add a folder — Use Search your Drive folders to find a folder by name in Google Drive instead of navigating the full folder hierarchy. Filter folders already added only narrows the folders you have already connected to PrincipalGO.
Folder and file access is permission-based and stays under your control.
Link OneDrive when needed and explicitly approve the folders GO may use.
- Approved folders — Folders GO may use.
- File access — Browse files and folders and open files inside approved locations.
- File management — Rename and move files between approved locations.
- Documents — Create Microsoft Word documents inside approved OneDrive folders with Brand Kit.
PrincipalGO’s product workflow limits file use to locations you approve. Microsoft Graph permission itself is not technically folder-scoped.
The same saved school identity, logo, colors, typography, messaging, letterhead and optional signature graphic can carry into supported Google Docs and Microsoft Word agendas, memos and formal letters. Review and edit each draft before sharing.
Find the email that needs you
In Gmail or Outlook, GO looks at recent conversations for direct action requests, deadlines, aging unanswered messages and VIP senders. It filters informational mail and shows potential action items in the separate Email Sweep lane.
Email Sweep finds the signal. You decide what becomes work. For each item, choose Add to My GO List, Delegate, Open Email, Snooze or Dismiss. Only an item you choose to Add to My GO List joins your personal task and reminder list.
To keep the mobile view manageable, GO shows a limited set of email cards up front. Use Show More for additional results. When you dismiss an item or move it to My GO List, the visible list fills from the remaining Sweep results.
Dismiss removes that exact email from Email Sweep without adding a My GO List task. GO remembers the dismissed message so the next Sweep does not show it again. A new reply or message in the same conversation may still appear if it seems to need action.
Use Open Email to handle or reply to the message in Gmail or Outlook. You do not need to delete or archive the email. If you add the item to My GO List, you can Mark Done on that task after handling it.
Automatic Email Sweep
Turn Automatic Email Sweep on or off in Settings → Email Sweep. In the current beta, it checks approximately hourly Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time while PrincipalGO is open. When you open GO, it also checks if the last Sweep was more than 60 minutes ago. Automatic checks stop after 6:00 PM; the Email Sweep lane and manual Sweep remain available even when Automatic Email Sweep is off.
Automatic Sweep helps you avoid remembering to press Sweep repeatedly. It does not run as overnight monitoring or send overnight notifications.
What you might see when connecting
PrincipalGO completed Google’s verification requirements and passed the CASA AL1 security assessment on September 22, 2026. During the transition, some users may temporarily continue to see a Google verification notice while Google updates the app’s status. That notice is expected to disappear as the verification status finishes propagating.
Microsoft
During beta, Microsoft may still display an “unverified publisher” notice when you connect PrincipalGO. Microsoft publisher verification is a separate administrative step and is still in progress. PrincipalGO’s Microsoft 365 beta workflows are live and user validated. Always review the permissions shown by Microsoft before approving access.
Need District IT Approval?
School Leadership Doesn't Happen Behind a Desk.
Some districts require an administrator to approve an outside app before your work account can connect. Send your IT team the review page below. It includes the Google and Microsoft application IDs, requested permissions, data-handling details and security information.
Why I'd Like My District to Approve PrincipalGO
- Capture work anywhere. I can record tasks and follow-ups while moving through classrooms, meetings and campus activities.
- Stay organized. My Day, My GO List and In Motion bring meetings, priorities and delegated work into one Command Center.
- Improve follow-through. I can track outstanding work, see where delegated tasks stand and know when someone needs help.
- Focus on leadership. I can spend less energy managing scattered notes, reminders and administrative tasks.
How PrincipalGO Protects District Information
- Approved file locations. For supported Google Drive and OneDrive document workflows, I choose the folders or files PrincipalGO may use. The app enforces those choices in its workflows; the underlying Google and Microsoft permissions remain broader.
- Email Sweep. It shows selected messages for review without duplicating my entire inbox. Originals stay in Gmail or Outlook. A sweep does not send, delete, move or archive them; delegation is a separate action.
- Delegated photos. Photos travel as email attachments, without a permanent PrincipalGO delegated-photo library. Temporary on-device recovery storage may help if a send is interrupted.
- District oversight. District IT controls who can authorize work accounts and can revoke provider-level access.
“PrincipalGO helps me capture the many tasks and follow-ups that come up during a school day, organize my priorities and track what's still in motion. Instead of relying on scattered notes or trying to remember everything, I have one place to manage my work. I'd appreciate the opportunity to use it with my district account.”
Add one genuine example from your own day when you share this with IT.Email you can send to your IT team
Copy, personalize the bracketed names and send from your own email. Your district decides whether to authorize the connection.
Subject: Request to Authorize PrincipalGO Hi [IT Team], I'd like to request approval to connect PrincipalGO to my district account. PrincipalGO is a productivity tool designed specifically for school leaders. It helps me capture tasks throughout the day, organize priorities and manage follow-ups and delegated work. The application also includes additional safeguards around approved Google Drive and OneDrive file locations, and its Email Sweep doesn't replace or duplicate my inbox. PrincipalGO has prepared a District IT & Security resource with its application IDs, requested permissions, security practices and data-handling information: https://principal-go.com/district-it I'd appreciate your consideration. The PrincipalGO team is available at support@principal-go.com to answer technical questions. Thank you! [Principal's Name]

Common beta questions
When something feels wrong
Start with Help & Tutorials inside PrincipalGO for live, step-by-step help. Search for your question or choose How to, Fix a problem or Understand GO. If the issue persists, reload once and tell us what happened.
This toolkit gives you the broader beta map; in-app Help is the best first stop for a specific task or troubleshooting step.
Report the experience, not just the error
If the experience is confusing, clunky or surprising, that counts as beta feedback even if the feature technically “worked.”
For a bug or issue, send as much of this as you have. A screenshot is helpful, but it is not required:
- The exact words you spoke or typed into GO.
- What you expected to happen.
- What actually happened.
- A screenshot or screen recording, if easy.
- Your device and browser.
- The approximate time it happened.
- If an email or invitation was sent to someone unexpectedly, tell us that immediately.
Protect private information
Never send passwords, authentication codes or private login information in a bug report. If a screenshot includes sensitive student or staff information, crop or blur it before sending when possible.
Use it like a principal, not a software tester
There is no homework and no formal reporting process.
For the next 30 days, use PrincipalGO during your real day. Tell GO what comes up. Set a reminder. Delegate something. Schedule something. Try Calendar. Work with the Google Drive or OneDrive locations you choose to approve.
About once a week, tell us what’s real
- Are you actually using it?
- Is it helping?
- What isn’t working?
- What’s missing?
- What would make it more useful?
Your check-in can be an email, a text, a screenshot, a five-minute phone call or a quick screen-share. Completely at your convenience.
At the end of the 30 days, I’d like to set aside a little time with each beta user for a more intentional conversation and a completely candid assessment.
I need to know what’s real. A feature that sounds great but does not help during an actual principal’s day is not the right feature.
Your cheat sheet
Daily beta tip
Reload PrincipalGO once at the start of each day. On mobile, a normal browser refresh or closing/reopening the tab is enough. No hard refresh required.
Easy first commands
- “Remind me tomorrow to review the staff meeting agenda.”
- “Ask [Trusted Contact] to confirm the conference room is ready tomorrow.”
- “Schedule a 20-minute planning block tomorrow at 1:30.”
- “Add [item] to the staff meeting agenda for [specific date].”
“Remind me” works before a work account is connected. In this beta, it puts the task in the appropriate My GO List timing bucket; it does not send a browser/device push notification at that moment.
Remember: you can speak to GO or type.
Email for your Trusted Contacts
Send this before you start delegating through GO.
Your Trusted Contacts do not need accounts, but a quick heads-up makes the first PrincipalGO email feel expected and gives them permission to tell you if anything is confusing.
